At the heart of my counselling practice is a Person-centred approach, meaning that
the sessions are led by you, the client, as the expert in your own narrative. I will offer you empathy and congruence in a safe, calm and non-judgemental space.

Our work will enable you to feel more at ease navigating your way through some of the challenges that life can bring and helping you make sense of your thoughts and
feelings. If you wish, we may also explore some techniques using art, poetry,
mindfulness and nature to accompany us on the journey of understanding and
acceptance.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and
Psychotherapy) and have a background in education, teaching at primary level for
over 20 years. I have completed the level 5 Diploma for Person-centred Counselling
and have volunteered with several counselling charities working with clients with a
wide range of needs including trauma, grief, domestic abuse, alcohol and drug
abuse, eating disorders and self-harm. At present, I am also teaching on the Level 2
Counselling skills course as an Associate Lecturer for Cornwall College.

I work with adults on a one-to-one basis either face-to-face or on the
telephone/online. Options for walk and talk in the local area are also available.
