The search for a therapist is deeply personal, and the success of therapy is shaped by the quality of the relationship between therapist and client, along with the client’s commitment to change.
I offer a compassionate, empathetic, and confidential space where you can safely explore the thoughts and emotions that are troubling you.
Through therapy, you can uncover the path to becoming your true, authentic self. Counselling and psychotherapy provide an opportunity to release past conditioning, explore important relationships and foster personal growth and deeper understanding, all whilst empowering you to create meaningful change in your life.
Therapies I practice include CBT, a holistic approach that examines the interplay between thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviours, and how they contribute to challenges like anxiety and depression. CBT equips clients with practical tools to move forward and create positive change in their lives. Alternatively, EMDR facilitates the processing of traumatic memories through bilateral brain stimulation, promoting emotional healing, alleviating distress, and helping integrate past experiences for healthier, more adaptive responses.

I have extensive educational experience working as the Head of Learning Support Centres, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and Head of Inclusion. My career has included international roles in Thailand, France and Malaysia, where I collaborated with staff, parents, and students to provide support for individuals with learning difficulties, as well as those experiencing stressful or challenging circumstances.
In the UK, I have worked as a SENCO and an inclusion teacher with the Community Hospital Education Service in Cornwall, further expanding my expertise in supporting diverse student needs.
From a counselling perspective, I have worked with agencies specialising in addiction, domestic abuse, coercive control, trauma, and men's mental health. My experience also includes providing therapy through Employment Accessibility Programmes (EAP), where I worked with police officers using trauma-focused CBT.
With a wealth of experience working with teenagers and young people, I have also provided mentoring and support to families. Additionally, I have worked with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, agoraphobia, relational difficulties, and bereavement. My experience extends to working in agencies dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced sexual abuse and trauma.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within its ethical framework. I offer both long-term and short-term face-to-face therapy, as well as time-limited counselling, video, telephone, and walk-and-talk sessions.
In addition, I provide EMDR therapy to help clients process difficult or unprocessed memories and beliefs. This evidence-based approach involves taking a detailed client history and using bi-lateral stimulation to aid in memory reprocessing. EMDR is highly effective in addressing both minor and major trauma-related memories. For more information, please visit EMDR Association
