Welcome! I am Rosa, a humanistic relational therapist, which, simply put, means that I hold the value that everyone has within themselves the wisdom and healing capacity to grow towards health and wholeness. And as inherently social beings, that it is within the container of safe and loving relationships that the deepest reparative relational healing can happen.
I specialise in longer-term, trauma-informed depth work with individuals, and support and supervise other therapists' work both 1:1 and in reflective practice groups. I also co-facilitate community breathwork journeys and an expanded states integration circle, as well as being available for psychedelic preparation and integration sessions.
You can find out more about these things here: groups, expanded state preparation and integration sessions.
I have come to see this work as fundamentally about broadening and deepening our capacity to feel and examine the things we haven’t previously been able to bear or manage, so as to feel more whole. The bedrock of my approach is to provide an environment of warmth and safety in which people can dive deep into their thoughts and feelings and experiences, while being met with empathy and clear reflections.
Together we can make sense of how your ancestral and cultural background, perinatal and significant life events, and early caregiver relationships lay down the blueprint for how you now relate to yourself, others, and the world. We can unpack your experiences, explore your relational patterns, and get to know the different parts of you—both those that are familiar and those that usually stay in the shadows.
I will sensitively work to your pace as you find ways to express your feelings, memories, embodied sensations, thoughts, and dreams free from judgment or criticism. I can offer you an honest yet compassionate presence and will be active in the process. We can explore beyond words through drawing, symbolic, or sand tray work if you'd like. We can also turn the breath and movement making as ways of deepening, grounding, and resourcing in sessions. I will be interested in what most appeals to you.
I have trained in both IPT (Anna Freud Centre) and integrative (online therapy institute) supervision, and I have experience offering both organisational and clinical supervision to individuals and groups, predominantly using the seven-eyed and cyclical models of supervision. These models both take into account relational, systemic, and transpersonal and embodied considerations.
I currently facilitate two reflective practice supervision groups. These are small groups of 3 or 4 therapists of diverse theoretical orientation and take place monthly. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining.
